Carlos Alcala, Jr. is a Sacramento-based attorney whose practice centers on litigation strategy, complex legal problem-solving, and high-stakes client advocacy.

Mr. Alcala earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis, completing a double major with honors and developing a strong analytical foundation in the institutional, social, and policy frameworks that influence the modern legal system. He earned his Juris Doctor from the McGeorge School of Law, where he refined courtroom advocacy skills, legal research proficiency, and advanced case-development techniques.

Mr. Alcala’s professional experience includes handling complex civil matters, developing litigation strategies, managing demanding caseloads, and representing clients through adversarial legal proceedings. He is recognized for structured preparation, disciplined case analysis, and an execution-focused approach to advocacy that prioritizes precision, efficiency, and justice.


In addition to his litigation background, Mr. Alcala previously served as a union representative, business agent, and labor negotiator, advocating on behalf of public-sector employees in collective bargaining and labor-relations matters. His experience includes negotiating labor agreements and employment-related issues involving specific bargaining units representing Sacramento Superior Court employees, as well as other public-sector bargaining units.

Mr. Alcala is also a certified mediator, bringing formal training in conflict resolution and alternative dispute resolution techniques. This credential enhances his ability to resolve disputes efficiently, facilitate productive negotiations, and pursue favorable outcomes both inside and outside the courtroom.

During law school, Mr. Alcala interned with government agencies and nonprofit organizations, contributing to public-interest legal initiatives and expanding access to legal services for underserved communities. These experiences reinforced his commitment to accountability, ethical practice, and results-driven representation.

Outside the courtroom, Mr. Alcala remains actively engaged in the Sacramento legal community and regularly participates in continuing legal education to stay current on evolving litigation practices, statutory developments, and procedural reforms
